Will repairing windows delete my data?

So when turn my PC on it says i need to repair windows, but i can get it to boot just fine if i go onto the "select a different OS" option and still select the same OS, as i only have 1 OS installed.

So when i repair will i lose my data on the OS drive? Plus where would i get the ISO file from which it can repair from?

Windows 10 ISO you should download from Microsoft.

A repair *SHOULD NOT* delete files ... but ... depends on what is damaged.

If you can boot it ... then backup the files you want to keep, then repair.

Thanks very much!

normally the worst repairing windows can do is brick one or two pieces of software that were freshly installed before stuff went downhill.

^ This is what Win7 repair and recovery do. I've not yet have to do them on newer version but I highly doubt it would be any worse. Since MS is also going for not having to format drive when upgrading versions.
