Spilled a drink in my G710+ not too long ago. Took off some keys and dried up whatever was inside. It worked fine for about 3 days, then lights started going out and it would start typing random characters. I cracked it open to find that there was a thick, sticky substance underneath the main circuit board and a lot of the solder joints were corroded to the point where i could lightly pick at them and they would break right off. I know there isn't a possible fix to this, but anyone else spilled a drink in their keyboard and had something like this happen?

You can resolder it, I think that would be a fix if it works after that.

The other stuff is like sugar and stuff from your drink that doesn't evaporate. Anything other than water will ruin your stuff.

I would remove all the keycaps, disassemble, and wash with isopropyl alcohol.

Side question that is unrelated: how did the G710_ work for you before the disaster? Planning to get one for myself

How was the voulme scroll? Did you like it?

The G710+ uses Cherry MX Brown switches and the quality of the keycaps is standard for the high-end. I'd recommend getting the G910 Orion Spectrum for the RGB Blue LEDs and the Romer-G switches that are a close hybrid of Blues and Reds.
