Need some help

I am currently making a build that i am going to make in march to april.

so heres the specs

Case	Corsair Spec-03 red
MotherBoard	Asus Z170M Plus
Processor	Intel Processor core [i5-6600K]
GPU/VGA	Asus STRIX ROG 1060 O6G
RAM	G.Skill - F4-3000C15D-16GTZ
HardDrive	Seagate barracudda 1 TB (Might buy later down the line)
SSD	Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB
HeatSink	Cooler Master CPU Cooler Hyper 212

 

As you can see my specs, the i have the intel i5 6600K, but. if i replace it with a i5 6500, i can cut alot of the costs (if i get the 6500 i could use a b150m motherboard, a default heatsink, and a cheaper cpu, so i could but a 1070 or something), but here's the catch, i might get into editing later, but, i don't know if a 6500 is fast enough.

 

So this is the part where i need your help, which one should i get? i5 6500 or i5 6600k?

and yes i am aware of kaby lake, but say they messed up, or all the motherboards are overpriced. which one should i get? (If there is an i5 7500 and 7600k benchmarks leaked, please comment it down below)

Wait for March or April before you start setting up your build. Prices are going to change by then.

I've got a 6500 and it's perfectly fine for rendering in After Effects and Premiere.

A 6600K would be faster, but 6500 is still quite fast.

I'd spend the extra money on the 1070.

Personally I'd wait a few months for Zen and Kaby Lake, but if you can't I'd go for the 6600k, just so you have that extra power when you need it later on.

i have seen some benchmarks on the i5 7600K (not the 7500) its a 10% speed increase, from the site it says "LGA1551" but on other news it says "kaby lake proccesors pictured, ASUS and ASrock 200 series motherboard confirmed" so im kind of confused lmao
