Note 5 issues...

So I've had my Note 5 for about year and a half and it's been a great phone, one of the best I've owned. Lately it's been having some issues. The battery life has gone down hill quick, (I suspect fast charging to be the culprit) and its beginning to slug through day to day use despite the 8 core. Also, when im listening to music on the commute to work through an auxiliary cord, I get these hellish sounding glitchy skipping noises. This is terrifying especially when I have the volume cranked up. My apps are clean and my phone is free of clutter. Any suggestions, or am I nearing upgrade territory due to general hardware degradation?
