Laptop workbench??!?!?

Go to solution Solved by SlacinAce,

Problem solved.... .-. cpu tensioner wasn't fully engaged....

I'll just show myself out

I'm trying to just make a laptop workbench... and I know everything posts, but that was when it was assembled. Now it's in peices but to my knowledge it us assembled, just outside of the case. It's a toshiba c655 and the only things I have connected to the mobo is the fan, battery, hard drive, charging cable, power button, and vga out going into my monitor. Now the charging light comes on when I plug it in, but when I press the power button, it turns on then in about 3 seconds it just shuts off, and restarts itself. Over. And over.

Do I need to have the laptop keypad, laptop speakers, trackpad, and thing as such attached just to power it on? I know nothing is defective but I'm missing something.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
