Keyboard not functioning properly

I am currently using a MSI GS70 Stealth Pro laptop that i had purchased about 6 months ago. Earlier on in the day, after waking my laptop up from sleep mode, the keyboard isnt functioning properly at all. When i press number "7" on the keypad it wrote "mnb243768910" and when i press backspace, it wrote "\cfr098" instead of removing the characters. I have restored the system to a previous system restore point but after using awhile, the issue occurs again. I will be having a university Autodesk Inventor exam in a week time, thus i am trying to get this resolve so that it will not happen during my exam.

 

Does anyone know what is causing this issue. Will reinstalling of OS prevent it from happening?

First off, you laptop is high? sounds like faulty controller board.
