I have been working on a pc build for about 3 days now. each day I spent around 3-7 hours on researching parts and about pc's. I thought I had everything done and ready. until I figure out that the i5 6500 is not over clockable and the motherboard I was planning on using can not overclock my gpu. also the motherboard I was planning on using is very old. I am angry and just need someone to help me.

this was what I was gonna use https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TYV8bj

what id like in the build is maybe a overclockable gpu. like a 1050ti must have green in it or just white, black

a clock able motherboard that's good for gaming and matches theme (green\black\white\grey)

and must be in nzxt razor case.

my budget is 700$

Uh, just because a CPU cannot be overclocked, doesn't mean that the GPU can't be overclocked either. The motherboard is not stopping you from overclocking whatever GPU you have.

Anyway, if you want to hear my thoughts about your build, I suggest getting a RX 470 4GB instead. Also, Razer is overpriced... get a cheaper case. Otherwise, it looks good.

AFAIK, any motherboard can overclock any GPU.

to get an overclockable CPU, you will need to get the 6600K, which will cost a lot more.

Get an RX 470.

It's cheaper than the 1050Ti you have in there, and it's MUCH more powerful.

I'm just going to literally answer with a proposed build. It meets everything you asked for. Green, Nzxt Razer, color theme and imho a better parts list.

It is over budget. The motherboard is pricey. This is what it takes to meet your goals.

no need for 16 GB of RAM, get a B150 mobo, RX 470 if available. get a black case and paste a razer sticker on it.

Wait why not H110??

I'm gonna be doing a decent amount of streaming and video making though

So What...

All we've suggested are improvements without degrading any aspect of your build, and it's the best you can get for your budget.

You wont be getting an overclockable CPU unless you spend a lot more.

your suggested rig was great thank you. I understand I will not be getting a oc cpu anytime soon and I'm cool with that.

I heard that the rx 470 is much better than 1050 ti. and about same price. should I get that instead?

if so witch one

it is MUCH better (sorry for replying a bit late)

about 1.5 times the power, maybe more

get the cheapest one that fits your theme. if you have no theme, then just get the cheapest one.
