Hi, I am helping a friend plan a build for primarily editing, but he will also play a couple of games casually on it. His budget is under $2500 AUD, but obviously lower is better. Here's what I have so far. Thanks!

I'd pick a different RX 480 since that one is known for having a bad cooler on it. Also, I'd get the MX300 over the BX200 SSD. Better performance and similar price. I think it's a solid build. A 6800k would be better than the 6700, but that would likely push him well over his budget.

Ok thanks! He's not planning to overclock anyway, so we'll stick to that.

If editing....maybe change the HDD to 2+TB hybrid HDD to house more large video files. Also, a 60gb or 120gb SSD for a scratch disk, which will help make editing videos fast.

everything looks good, but maybe contemplate getting a 1060 3gb as its cheaper and performs the same?

Yes but he will need the VRAM, and the 6gb 1060 is the same price as the 480 anyway, which has 2gb more VRAM
