Boot device start up

Phantom Itachi

Hello everyone who may find themselves reading this. First and foremost, this is my build:

I have a small issue. Every time I turn my computer on, My computer proceeds to show a boot menu screen and shows my different boot devices. Which are my SSD which holds my OS (Windows 10) and my HD which holes my programs and games and such. I always choose my SSD obviously that holds my OS but I want it to stop always going to that screen and just go straight to my log in screen. Think anyone can help?

Whats under boot priorities in your bios?

My two drives. The SSD and the HDD. Not sure if that was helpful information.

Well, this may or may not be your problem, but ...

I am currently building my over the top, waste of money super-build. This is the first time I have ever had an SSD in my computer and I am loving it.

Anyways, construction went smoothly and Win10 installed on my Plextor M.2 1TB drive without any problem. After I first booted into Window, I went through the obligatory 2 month driver install and then proceeded to finish the bling part of construction (lights, additional drives, etc.).

Somewhere in the process, my SSD disappeared from my boot priority list (from what I learned later, this probably happened when I installed my mechanical drives). Every time I powered up, I would be thrown into the UEFI. The SSD was not even listed in the UEFI as an option for boot priority, but I could select it in Boot Override. The boot priority menu would only list my HDD and Optical drives as possible boot devices.

This situation persisted for about a week, and then I noticed my HDD was identified as Disc 0 and my SSD was listed as Drive 1 in the Windows Manage Drives system window.

Now, I don't know if this is a UEFI thing, an ASUS thing, a Plextor thing or a general SSD thing but as soon as I unpluged my HDD from my mobo's SATA port 0 and plugged it into another SATA port (thus leaving port 0 empty), every thing started working as it should.

To make a long story short, check your motherboard and make sure nothing is plugged into SATA port 0.

Now, my big question. WHY AREN'T I TOLD THESE THINGS? :P

Well, my issue is that every time I boot up my computer it shows me a boot menu. Between my SSD (which holds my OS) and my HDD (which holds everything else). I just want it to boot straight off of the OS drive without it having to always prompt me with which to choose. If you could help me with that I would greatly appreciate it. If not, I appreciate your help nonetheless.
