PCIe is less volatile at startup. As far as model, I can't help aside from saying get AC.

This is based off of the best 2x2 WiFi card on the market atm (Intel 8260).

 

It normally sells for around 30-40 dollars, but even at the current price I wouldn't ever recommend anything else.
