Bluetooth receivers, can they broadcast through a case?

DELTAprime

The Z270 board I'm going to get doesn't have Bluetooth or WiFi. I personally don't need the WiFi cause of Ethernet, but on occasion I need Bluetooth. Will one of those little USB Bluetooth receivers be strong enough to connect to a device outside of a case (NZXT H440) if I put it in my NZXT internal USB hub. Doesn't need to have the full 10 or so meter range, just enough to connect the occasional Bluetooth phone or headset.

You can always just test it out and see how it goes. I don't see why it wouldn't work as long as you have a quality Bluetooth dongle.

I know I could test it myself but since finding a local store so it can be cheaply returned with an acceptable price is problem in my small city so I thought I'd ask first.

If your case has a window, then it's likely that it will work decently, at least if you put it close to the window. Otherwise, your case is going to act like a faraday cage and give you little to no reception.

I have to admit though, I'm having trouble imagining what on earth you could legitimately need bluetooth for...

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
