AVCHD in DaVinci Resolve

I am trying to edit avchd videos (.mts) in DaVinci Resolve (free version) but the audio is not importing to resolve. I can hear the audio when I play the videos in the default windows 10 application for video watching. Is there a setting I can change or a program that will convert it to a compatible format like prores?

How about converting it to a different format like h264 with handbrake
