Just to start off, sorry if i am posting this is the wrong place, I have never posted here before.

So one day, I was trying to turn on my pc but it never finished, it was just stuck on the loading screen after post, I did some research and it seemed that it was something to do with AVG and I needed to delete it, I was told to boot into safe mode so I did but I though if I booted into safe mode with networking I would be able to use Wi-Fi but it turns out I couldn't so I decided to turn off my PC and download the uninstaller and remove AVG the next day.

here's the next problem, when I tried to boot into safe mode again it wouldn't let me because I couldn't press any keys on my keyboard and I checked and my  keyboatrd is working fine. I decided to try basically all other options like resetting the pc, startup repair and sfc /scannow but none of these would work, I am now currently on the advanced startup options page with no idea what to do and a dying urge to use a computer that isn't and old, outdated laptop.

if anyone knows how to fix any of these issues and can help me then that would be greatly appreciated.

I can get some pretty soon but I don't want to lose any files what am I meant to do with it?

I was thinking about running microsoft's automatic repair tool from it. It won't damage your files and surprisingly actually helps sometimes.

Edit: You could run this from win8 or win7 installation medai on win10 but win10's most likely to work

oh, ok, is that system image recovery?

Repair and recovery are two separate tools. Neither looses your files. Recovery will remove any software that is installed prior to image made.
