Dell Studio Ethernet Drivers

Hello, My moms Studio has an issue. Ethernet drivers are not installed on it. I cant find the drivers online, or anywhere. Will the Realtek LAN driver work for it? another issue. the wifi is super slow. 100 down internet and I m only getting 20kb/s. BTW I did open up the laptop to clean out cooling system.

 any help would be appreciated.

Yes all I could find were WLAN drivers

Dude. go into the device manager, look for network adapters, and find the model of the ethernet adapter. Then just go to the manufacturer website (of the adapter, so intel, killer, etc.) and look for the driver for that model

thats the issue. there is no ethernet adapter.

have you tried showing hidden devices? that normally works if there was ever one installed

Have you tried the WLAN Drivers? these are usually paired with GBE drivers

I couldn't find definitive information on the LAN chip-set used in your model of laptop, the lack of information on it is unusual. However I found anecdotal evidence that it is a Broadcom chip, possibly BCM5784M (http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=R232587). Take that with a grain of salt. At this point I suggest getting in touch with Dell through their technical support staff for better support http://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/us/en/04/contactus/dynamic . They have a chat available to use.
