I bought JC3 because it was on sale for a good price, but it doesn't save. I've only played the first 20 minutes of the game because I'm waiting to build my new PC before I play it for real, but I just wanted to see how it ran on my current computer (not very well at all).

The problem is that it doesn't save any progress, I've tried running it as an administrator, with compatibility mode, and combinations of both, but nothing works. It creates a save folder in the proper location, but I don't know if it's not updating the save, or reading from it when I restart the game. Every time I restart it, it starts as if I've never opened it before.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Did you make an account when you first started the game? And if so does it sign you into that account?

I had that problem too and I just made an account and it signs me in and saves my progress.

It didn't prompt me to make an account, but I did sign into my square enix account. Did you purchase the game through steam?

Yes I did. Did you finish the first mission? Because maybe you have to get passed a certain point for it to start saving the progress and not making you do the first mission again.

No I didn't, I only got the the part where you start controlling the helicopter because I didn't want to spoil the game. How long is the whole first mission?

Not terribly long I'd say abut 15 mins until you get your wing suit and the basic tutorial ends. I'm pretty sure it will save your progress after that.
