im not sure if its coil whine or whatever it is.. its a weird sound that only occurs when i start graphic intense games. i started unigine valley and i instantly heard it, same in bf1. my card is a Gigabyte GeForce GTX1080 Windforce OC.. what should i do?

sure it's not the PSU ? If it's the GPU, nothing you can do, I had a pair of 970's that were terrible, got lucky with my 1080

When you turn up the volume in the OS, it is raising the sound levels going to your speakers. Since there is more interference inside your computer than outside, the increased sound levels from the OS will come with more noise.    Keeping the sound levels low in the OS should minimize that noise.  I have had experience with this with my 7850.

i cant really turn up the volume on just my headset. i activated v-sync and the card got a lot quieter..
