OK i know what youre going through because i set up mine yesterday... on the extension cable which leads to the Hue Box is an arrow... this arrow must be on the side where the black lines are on the led strip and connect it that way... :D

Im not sure i follow? what extension cable? one of the channel cables? or the power?

okay you have connected the led strips because thats what you do...now there is a black cable in the hue box.... this cable has a end with the arrow and the 4 pins and the other end is a connector which fits in the hue box's "1" or "2" slot... connect that cable to the box and the pin end with the led strips so that the arrow is on the same side as the few black lines on the led strips
