I'm a private pilot from Oshkosh WI, USA.  I also really enjoy modern technology, although I don't have an in depth knowledge most of the time.

 

I would love to learn what tech the other pilots here use, or if any techies here are private pilots flying small general aviation aircraft.

I personally am not a private pilot, but my brother is. I am also in Wisconsin, and actually I am close to Oshkosh. As far as I know my brother does not use any fancy tech or anything. As a matter of fact, he uses good old fashion paper maps and stuff like that. I think the most technological thing he uses is the glass panel in one of the planes he rents. If you are interested in technology outside of aviation, I would be happy to talk to you about stuff. All you have to do is ask.
