I just installed ubuntu 16.04.1 lts on Lenovo Ideapad y560 (I have windows 7 home premium 64-bit and Ubuntu dual boot). So I was wondering if someone can help me to figure out how to install graphics drivers. Lenovo has switchable graphics (Intel HD graphics and Amd mobility radeon hd 5730). I want to use it to play some games so I would be happy if I could even just install amd drivers and disable intel hd graphics (if switchable graphics option is not supported).

One simple thing you can try is search the menu for "additional drivers" and choose the proprietary gpu driver that's (probably) there.

Additionally, if you're not too invested in Ubuntu, I've had success with gaming on my 960m laptop with Manjaro Linux (https://manjaro.org/). It comes with some of the best out-of-the-box graphics drivers I've seen on Linux.

Best of luck!
