Hello, first of all I would like to point out that I live in the Philippines and I was planning on upgrading my computer? or should I just start from scratch. The prices here in the Philippines are crazy and its a lot harder to get parts shipping is not an option for me right now. My budget is kinda tight right now but Christmas is just around the corner so xD hopefully I would get lucky!

Purpose of Computer - Mostly Gaming, a little bit of editing now and then (self study trying to learn),

I had a chance to build my own desktop a while back but during those times I was not a tech savvy.

Processor : AMD Phenom II 555 Black Edition

Heat Sink : Stock

Motherboard : Asrock 960GC-GS

GPU : Nvidia 660

Storage : 500GB Seagate, 1TB WD

RAM : 2x4GB DDR3 1333

Power Supply : 500W Huntley

I'm still able to play GTA V, Cities Skyline, etc. . . low to medium settings and some stuttering.

Wait for Zen? Upgrade CPU and buy an SSD along the way?

Or go Intel?

Assume my budget by Christmas hopefully around $500 - $700!

Or go with FX83XX? I apologize for my English, it's not my first language and I'm just a kid trying new things.

Thanks in advance and for taking a moment and look at this post.

If it is $500-$700 USD, you should just go for intel. Get an i5 skylake or Kabylake, either one. and just pick a 250 GB SSD and just be mindful of your storage. You can reuse those harddrives by reformating them, and you could probably use that GTX 660 maybe, my friend is still using his.

Also i'm from Philippines, but currently living in the states.
