i am trying to get my cpu to 4.7 and it is being very stubborn.

1.4V should really be the absolute limit.

it should be your limit, i would go there personally because my chip is a beat and i dont want to loose it

so if i have it set to 1.38 v in aisuite i will be ok?

Only overclock in bios, avoid oc software. 1.38 is still pretty high for a 22nm chip.

If you're over 1.35v, it's bad, if you go over 1.4v, it's going to kill itself.

That's what 90nm lithography is capable of. I ran my 45nm QX9650 at 1.58v and it lasted for 4 years

Mine was the second-gen P4 (Northwood) which was 130nm. My stepdad's old Dell had one in it. I put in a 2GHz Northwood Celeron and it was waaay faster.
