I'm about to build a pc, I want to max out 1080p ultra.

The issue I have is choosing between an rx470/480 and a gtx 1060 3gb/6gb.

I don't really mind about fps, as they will all perform well. I just want to know what people use more regularly out of the two (freesync/ SP). I'm not interested in gsync it's too expensive

(if I bought an amd gpu I'd pick up a freesync monitor)

my build is a 6600k, z170, psu, and  hyper 212

Thank you! <3

i would do rx 480 since amd is planning on releasing something to go against shadowplay(i use obs you can use that too if you want) and imo the freesync would be more worth it

No I mean shadow play. Gsync monitors are £500+

There is no such thing as a shadow play monitor...

Shadowplay is a geforce experience software that allows you to capture and record in game footage...

oh nvm I understand waht you mean now, well if you hate screen tearing freesync is always a +, other than that shadowplay is pretty useless

The 1060 is superior to the 470 and 480 and so is Gsync. Even if it costs a bit more, I would definitely recommend going the Nvidia route.

Shadowplay isn't the same thing as G sync/FreeSync, ShadowPlay is software used to record gameplay with minimal performance impact.

I know, im asking what's more useful vertical sync or screen recording/livestreaming? As the gsyn option is too expensive for me

Oh, well in that case FreeSync. Good FreeSync monitors are cheap nowadays too + OBS is free for recording purposes.
