I'm trying to hard reset my Dell Venue 7040 and when I chose recovery mode, the android robot is lying down with a red triage coming out of it's chest.

System: i7 4790K, Hyper 212 EVO, 16 GB Crucial Ballistix, GTX 1070 Super clocked, MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition, Corsair RM 750, Corsair 750D (with 2 additional 140mm NZXT fans up top for exhaust.)

Yup. That's recovery mode. Try pressing all the buttons at once( power, volume up+down). A menu *should* pop up. Just choose reboot, or continue (forget the exact wording).

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

So I used the factory restore but my device (dell venue 10 7040) is STILL asking me to sign into the account previously synced with it... I bought it off craigslist so I don't have thuat info and dell support is NO help

He needs to get into recovery mode and do everything from there.

Sometimes that red triangle appears when certain files are missing for boot. Seen it happen a lot when people flash custom roms and forget to load certain files.
