XB1 controller doesn't work.

So I have friends over and thought it would be a good idea to play gang beasts with everyone. I only have a DS4 and an XB1 controller and I was going to man the keyboard. 

 

First, the game would have the DS4 control both the DS4 player and the keyboard player at once. We figured that issue out by assigning the Ds4 player to another player slot in the options. 

 

But now the XB1 controller doesn't want to work. I see forums everywhere saying go into Device Manager > Xbox one Controller > Choose drivers > List my own > Microsoft Xbox Controller or something like that. But i don't have that option! that doesnt show up! "Xbox one controller" also doesn't show up in my Device manager. Only "Xbox Peripherals" 

 

But the odd thing is, while in game, the Xbox button works and brings the xbox app up. But theres no input into the game. I can controll the xbox App and go into the settings and whatnot.
