Not always, some Mobo's do automatically downclock but some will try and run at the highest speed, which can cause blue screens. Just a thing to check is all. Yeah speed for gaming isn't really a thing. Main program that benefits from high RAM speed is After Effects, but games aren't affected.

Allright. I don't want the blue screens of death so I will make sure it is compatible.
