- Resolution of your monitor

- Desired framerate

- Budget

Let's get some more info here; how much do you know about latest gen AMD and Nvidia cards (i.e. when would you need a GTX 1070 or an RX480 or a Titan XP)

Entry level gaming 1080p: Rx 460 or GTX 1050 Ti

Minimum VR spec/ high power 1080p Gaming: RX 480 4GB or GTX 1060 3GB

1440p gaming: GTX 1070 (Crossfire RX 480 if you need to go team red)

4K gaming: GTX 1070 or GTX 1080 (for higher settings at 4k)

What you most likely don't need, but probably want: Titan XP
