mounting PSU upside down

I have an H440 and a RM550X. I watched a Jayztwocents video and he said if you have a PSU shroud, you should always mount the PSU as intake. Not alot of space because of cables in the PSU shroud so I couldn't see which way the fan was intaking, but I inverted it and now the fan is facing the ground (opposite way as before)

I THINK this is intake (not sure) but the bottom fanfilter has not even a spec of dust on it, implying it's not intaking anything... is this wrong?

It IS intaking. Probably doesn't have a spec of dust on it because you haven't had it installed that way for long. Depending on how clean you keep the area around your computer, it can take quite a while or no time at all for dust to settle on the filters.

When in doubt, re-format.

If it's been in there for a short amount of time, you won't see much dust because dust accumulates over time. All power supplies intake cool air for the stuff inside it
