INTERNET HELP

Hey guys,

I probably have one of the worst internet connections and providers (CenturyLink). My peak speed is 1.2 mb/s download and about 500 kb/s upload on a wired connection with my parents PC. My desktop in my room has a WiFi card, and I was able to get that speed pretty consistently without any problem even though it is across the house. The WiFi card I have is the TP-Link N600 Wireless Dual Band PCI-Express Adapter (TL-WDN3800). As of recently, I can barely get 100 kb/s if I can even connect to the internet at all. I know my setup is a bit 'dysfunctional' to say the least, but I'm not sure what the problem is. My boyfriend and I have tried to problem-solve everything, but we can't figure out any solution. Internet hates me, and I hate it just as much if not more. Getting faster speeds or a different provider isn't an option right now. Is there any way I can get close to the normal speeds I get on a wired connection? PLEASE HELP!!!!
