Whats your CPU?
If you can save up a little bit more, go a for an rx470 instead, not much more than a 1050ti but better performance.

I guess you could buy 750ti, only 100$ on amazon. The difference probably won't be enormous between the two. (1050ti and 750ti)

My stuff:

Spoiler

CPU :  Intel i5 8400 | GPU : MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4GB

RAM : 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 @ 3600MHz

Mouse : Logitech G502 HERO SE | Keyboard : Mountain Everest Max w/ Cherry MX Brown

Headset : Beyerdynamics DT990 Pro 250Ω w/ AT2020USB+

Monitor : Acer XF240H @  144Hz

Well, if it is, there is no idea in buying a 1050ti because they are almost the same?

EDIT : There is barely 200MHz difference between your GPU and 1050ti SC.

Not true.  The card is slightly above a gtx 960, which is about 40% faster than a 750 ti.  The naming convention of maxwell and pascal are different and doesn't really reflect the card's league of performance.

As for selling your 550 ti, honestly don't expect much for it.  Around here you can get them for $35 USD.

so it would be a somewhat noticeable upgrade from a  N760 TF 2GD5/OC MSI  to the RX470?

That card is a great option! :D I know a friend who has one and he's satisfied. I'd go for the 6GB version tho.

i7 6700k - 32GB DDR4-2133 - GTX 980
