CPU upgrading question

Okay so I haven't looked at PC parts in a while.  I currently have a 3770 i7 Ivy Bridge 3.4 GHz.  Will I see a crazy difference in the new Skylake i7 6700k 4.0GHz?  According to the specs it's very similar in things like cache etc.  Only major difference is the sweet .6 more hertz.  Sounds painful :<

about 10-20%? yes

 

in my eyes it wouldnt be worth upgrading yet because u gotta buy a new mobo and ram aswell, id wait for the next series of intel cpus and then upgrade

new intel chips should be coming in around a year ish , could be dead wrong ... a friend told me  i didnt even check lol

yeah, they will. but they're not focusing on IPC gains. just lower power needed to run I think.
