Wouldn't an overclocked i7-6700K on a Z170 board with a 1080 do the trick?

Yes not as fast but would probably bring down the price.

I'm no expert btw - just a disclaimer haha - but been doing a lot of reading lately. The 1070 may not be quite enough for 4k gaming? - probably want to invest that extra $400 or so on the 1080. But the 6700k on the Z170 board can be easily overclocked.

edit - got beat to it anyway lol

1080 can't handle all games in 4k over 60 fps..

It does run well many games but for most recent AAA games, its not even close to be able to run it over 60 fps.

Prepare to see some 40ish fps

need sli 1080 and still.. some games dosnt support sli..

Guess we have to wait for 1.5 years for next gen GPU

You really can't get a 4k experience in games at max with even a titan. I don't really think iot's worth gaming in 4k but 1440p

Yikes, i don't even want to spend that difference between 1x 1070 / 1080 for my build, let alone adding an entire 2nd 1080 haha.

Seriously when is the graphical detail enough :/ for the human eye :D
