I'm trying to plan a solid gaming computer, any comment on how it would preform would be much appreciated.

Specs

ASUS B85M-G LGA1150
i5-4670K Processor
ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 DUAL Edition 6GB
Western Digital 1TB Internal

Corsair Vengeance LP 4GB DDR3-1600 x2
Corsair CS 750w 80 PLUS Gold
Thermaltake Versa N21 Snow Edition

Going into 2017 with something like this should be good I hope.

What is your budget? Also, taking advantage of the newer DDR4 ram and the skylake chipset isnt a bad idea, especially with some of the deals going on right now.

At most I would go to $1100 but anything around $1000 or lower would be nice. DDR4 is great and all but DDR3 is still good enough for most games.

This would run you just under $1100 ( I am assuming USD). Has a 1070, and 6600k. You could cut out SSD to save money, I personally don't use one, but have never had one so I do not know what I am missing out on.

EDIT: If you live near a microcenter, you can get a 6700k for about $40 more.

EDIT #2: You could also save about $40 on a 6600k if you went to a microcenter.

No SSD, my GPU and CPU should be more then good enough for games. I could probably get everything under $1000 where i live.

Everything under $1000 on my list or yours? If you can get newer parts, and more powerful in the case of the 1070 vs the 1060, I would get the 1070. Just my opinion though.

My list :P. the 1060 is about $300+ and the 1070 is $500. I should also add that I don't use USD, I use the Rand meaning the parts for me are as follows: 1060 = R4600 and the 1070 = R8000. Rates at the moment are R14.48 to $1 which isn't to bad.

Ahh I see... Just noticed you never asked for build advice, just what you thought performance would be like, my bad. I would still try and get skylake if you could, but it's all up to you to be honest. If you want you could cut a few things down from my list with 6600k and 1070 i.e. cheaper case, or tier 2 or 3 PSU maybe. But if you are in South Africa (my dad is from there, only country I know that uses rand so I am just guessing) then maybe the parts would not be as cheap.

I should have added that I'm from South Africa from the start. Anyway Thanks for all the help. I think what i have there is strong enough for a while and considering where I live, its probably best.
