Hey guys, I was in the middle of planning my first build with my friend and wanted to see what everyone thought.  I saw the CPU on amazon for $180 for what used to be 400$.  Not sure if that's true, or it would be sold out, but just give me some feedback

Get Cosrair CX550M, better in quality or Seasonic S12II is also good

No don't go FX 8370, at that price try for i5 6400 or i5 6500 miles better

V300 is one of the bad SSD the rest is fine

So I should value the new socket over the 8 cores?

Yes, it's not about cores. Even though FX has more cores but each of them does not perform good compared to less core (4) but better performing. And games don't use that much cores anyway
