CPU temp check

After playing some heavy load games like fallout 4 and Civ 6 (big difference haha) i always check my temps every so often, however this surprised me 

 

My i5 6500 is cooled by an Hyper 212X and is normally under load 35C however after finishing Civ6 i noticed it had peaked for (according to NZXT CAM software a breif moment, maybe 2-3 minutes) CPU core 2 it had logged the temp as 42C. Is that too hot? Also what is the recommended temps for a skylake non-K CPU anyways?

Mate i have a watercooler and I dont get my Cpu that cool, 42C is fine, anything below 80C is fine above 80C is where you need to take action

Anything up to and including 85C is fine.
