hi so i know it is possible or was possible to take apart external usb storage drives and put them internally via sata.

basicly its cheaper for me to buy a 5tb external drive than it is to buy a 4tb internal one. i live outside of the the usa so voiding warrantee is no issue as its a pain to send it back anyway.

heres the drive im wanting to reuse as an internal one anyone know if its still possible?

its possible but do you know the quality of drive used? they might be shit ones. There was a line of WD green a few years ago that would brick itself if used outside a USB adapter and with windows.

and the other issue is getting the drive out of the enclosure without voiding your warranty. That was just a special line of WD green I'm sure most drives are ok but who knows if its from a binned product line.
