something unrelated but i was trying to see if down under there have any deal on black friday and came up with this

The Black Friday bushfires of 13 January 1939, in Victoria, Australia, were among the worst natural bushfires (wildfires) in the world.

It's a strange coincidence, but I dont think that's really the reason. We just dont do thanksgiving, black friday is more of an American thing, it woudnt really make much sense here. Already people are pushing back against Halloween because its an American holiday and isnt very traditional here.

Do they ship directly to AU, or did you use freight forwarding? It may have been cheaper just to buy it off one of the US stores that directly ship here while also waiting for black friday.

it was direct shipping ans the original plan was that they get shipped o my dad who is visiting me this summer but it turned out shipping to australia was cheaper than shipping to germanny. i assume its because the items are stored in china?

Its cheaper to ship internationally than it is to the country where the store is based? Interesting. Well, you still could have bought from the US and waited for black friday.

For some reason it was the first thing to come to mind, even though I'm not even English, dont know why. But my point still stands, no need to celebrate different holidays that aren't traditional.
