So, I've been wanting to have a open case and saw LTT's recent video where Luke cut a case with tools which I find unnecessary for his DIY test bench video. I did this so I don't have to open my case every time I want to change something, or I just wan't to look at the hardware. So what I did was grab a scrap case in the garage and strip it naked. I had a CM HAF 912(Wish it was black all around and inside...) and drilled those Pivots screws on the case, I tried using a flat to lift up the pivot screw but it was near impossible, easier to just drilled it out despite how messy it may get. I only drilled those necessary screws so that I get the body and the back of the case only and it took me less than 20 minutes.

And then I slap on some old hardware that I had laying around as well. The back is a bit swiveling, BUT the graphics card will hold it in place. Just have to make sure it doesn't drop to the group lol.

Nothing, let it dust up and blow it off I guess lol.

That's very interesting. I might try to do that with one of my old cases, paint it and mount it to a wall. Sounds interesting

At first, I wanted to mount the hardware right onto the wall, but I figure I would need extension PCIE and lots of drill holes, like how Linus did his best gaming setup where he put the computer onto a plywood and then mount it onto the wall

this is pretty cool, but i could never have it, my cat would knock it over in a heartbeat or try and sit on it.  would be cool to paint it and put an acrylic  box around it or something :)

That's a good idea ?

Did you you guys notice, I have two fans for exhaust lol.. Supposedly it provides negative temps like the video where a H100 have 20 corsair fans ??

-moved to case mods-

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
