So I recently built my first computer and I can't get it to post. Plus it is acting very strange.

Specs:

Asrock z77 extreme6

Intel 3770k

Corsair vengeance 16gb

Gigabyte Gtx 680

Corsair HX 1050

The first time I booted it up it ran fine, the motherboard did display an led that read [1_]

Nothing displayed on my monitor, though, so I tried to turn off my motherboard with the power button on the board and nothing happened.

So then I decided to just turn off the rig by switching the PSU power switch. I adjusted some monitor cables and then went to turn the system back on.

It seemed like it was starting up, the fans spun and everything, but then it shut off, and then started again just to turn off seconds later.

This process repeated until I turned off the PSU.

After that I waited about a half hour and it started and I got a debug led that read [A2].

Shortly after I saw the debug led it turned off when I tried to boot it up it did the on/off thing again. So I wait another half an hour and this time it starts and stays on but nothing is on my monitor and there are no leds what so ever. I am confused and frustrated.

I need to find out whats wrong.

Hi, im no pc expert but.... i do have a extreme 4 and i had a similar problem so this may help :p

I Tried disconnected the case headers from the mobo (power and hdd light and such) because the way that they connected confused me and of course it wasnt staying on so that may help but i doubt it... but i would suggest just checking all the headers and cables and maybe changing moving the sata cables to other connectors and if the graphics card is installed make sure that your monitor plugged into that and not the mobo ( :P ) and maybe even remove the graphics card.

^ All of this is what i tried when i had the same problem and one of the things must have worked... so i think its worth a try.

Im sorry i could´nt help anymore than this but i hope that all goes well :p
