1. What would be top GPU that wouldn't bottleneck i5 4670k which runs at 4Ghz (That's the max I could achieve to run stable)? This question is more for curiosity.

2. What would be a suggested combo of budget GPU with this CPU?

I don't play AAA titles, mostly online games (WoT, EVE, LoL, CS). 1080p, with possible upgrade to 1440p in future. I'm anti-fan for SLI or Crossfire. Any opinions welcome, thanks.

I always had 60Hz, but a friend of mine owns 144hz and even tho the game I tried once on his machine wasn't full fps, I felt the smoothness which I loved and considering 144Hz.

I would say GTX 1060 the performance is a lot better fo older game

Not sure why I'm leaning towards AMD this time, after years of using Nvidia. Did I grew up? :D

Well Freesync 144hz panels are cheaper, so yea either you get the RX 480, or you wait for the Vega chips.

They meant to be just around the corner? I might wait and see what's up with that if that's the case. Will this CPU be ok for them tho?

No point in waiting if he's buying mid tier really. The RX 480 is a great card and like said before, free sync is basically free.

OP, get the 480 and be a happy salamander.

Given that you said you don't play AAA games, none of your games are CPU bottlenecked, so either would do well for you right now. But if you're staying 1080p, RX 480 is a solid choice.

If you playing the latest titles then yea 480 but he playing older titles so the 1060 will kill the 480. But at the end of the day it up to you
