I've been having a lot of issues recently with my RAM, it's only been a big problem since battlefield 1 came out because sometimes there isn't enough memory, I have 16 gigabyte with 4 x 4 gig stick, the thing that confuses me most about this problem is even after a shut down the memory will still come back at around 30% just on startup, the way I have to do it is to unplug my pc or turn off the powersupply and then hold the power button if I want to clear the RAM properly, I really don't know what other info to provide, any help or suggestions are appreciated :)

If you are using windows CTRL+SHIFT+ESC (launches task manager) and see what programs are using the ram.

Battlefield 1 has so many memory leaks it's not even funny anymore. But the most i've seen my bf1 go to is 8gb in memory. I remember seeing a post with even higher. You'll just have to wait for EA to fix the horrible memory leaks.

BTW memory leaks happen when the game/program tell the computer that it was to allocate some memory to store some information, but the program is coded that it asks for the allocation but doesn't free up that space of memory when it finishes using it. It is a ROOKIE mistake in programming and shouldn't happen so severely on a AAA title like bf1

A good place to start is looking a resource monitor. Then select memory and look at commit and sort high to low and find out whats eating 30% of your memory at idle.

Yeah it could very well be. I've seen posts here a few weeks ago saying high men usage on bf1. You definitely can find other people just like you.

However, if you are experiencing high memory usage at idle or out of BF1 it could be a different issue.

Yeah I'm thinking it might be because I just restarted and had a 35% usage of 16 gig :P
