Okay I have an intel q6700 6gb ddr2 (2 x 2gb 2x 1gb dimms) and my motherboard died. I am waiting for AMD zen cups to come out to build a new computer so I'm wondering what is some good cheap lga 775 motherboard preferably under $40 also what is a budget overclocking motherboard lga 775 for q6700. Thanks for the help

Probabbly at least $75USD for a decent lga 775 board they got expensize as most people get them to do the 771 to 775 mod.

 

Why wait for zen you could be waiting until next summer then, and who knows what they will cost when they launch.

Well I bought the ram and the q6700 a few months ago and just put it in a dell in want to use it more. I want to see what AMD's competition for the i5 6500 it would also push that price down. I am patient I can wait to see the competition. I am finding P5K for $40 - $50 so are those compatible with q6700

Just get any motherboard with a front side bus (FSB) of 1300ish mhz so you can run the Q6700. You only need it for a few months anyways so don't sweat on the features otherwise.

good luck trying to find a decent 775 mobo at this day of age. most of dead or in junk yards

Actually there's a ton on eBay for pretty cheap I was just wondering which one it would be okay there's some pretty good ones too for pretty cheap

Most of them are Dell but as long as it works it's only for a few months so does not really matter
