Hybrid GPU or Not ?

So after a long while, I'm finally upgrading my GPU; I have my heart set on a 1070 BUT as I scour the retailers online I am struck with a dilemma, should I go with a hybrid GPU like this : http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-6178-KR
OR something else ? 

Things to consider 

- I will be using this card for at least 3 years
- I will be USING 2 monitors > 2560 x 1080(video editing) and 2560x1440(gaming) 
- I will be overclocking

- I DO care about aesthetics 

TL;DR : Is a hybrid GPU good for long term usage, are there any risks.

The main risk is that the card might leak, but I don't think I've heard any of that from people who have bought the Hybrid 1070. Do you have a mounting point for the radiator in the chassis?

Yea I have a NZXT S340, I'll be mounting the radiator in the front.

Card leakage is a risk I'm willing to take but pump failure after a couple of years would be quite the bummer for me.

The warranty is for three years.

I will be importing it via a friend since it's too expensive where I live ($600) so IDK if I can get a warranty that way.

 

Also I've heard horror stories of card dying just out of warranty and I DO NOT want to be in that situation; no one does.

The problem is that no one can predict if that's going to happen, doesn't matter what card it is.

I am a tinkerer so I won't mind replacing the fan on an air-cooled card with some improvised doohickey but if a pump dies (I'm new to water cooling so IDK how often that happens) that won't bode well for me.

The pump failure or leakage is my only concern since I can't take that kind of a hit on my only PC.

then go with an aircooled card the GTX 1070 is a cool running chip anyways...just don't get a blower style cooler.

Then you can go purchase one of their cards(or someone else's) that's "air-cooled" if you're afraid of either of those things.

Thanks that's what I'll probably do also if I get an Evga card will I have to get their thermal pad fix for the VRM separately? Or will it ship with the card (since the card blow up thing is going on right now)
