April 21st - Flower Week Day 1: The Poppy Flower : SketchDaily

I'd like to give my deepest tip of my hat to the ~90,000 WW2 Canadian veterans who are still alive out of the 1,000,000 back in 1945.

You sacrificed your lives in the Great War.

Royal Canadian Legion membership - 1985 = 602,000 falling to 348,000 in 2010, to currently around 298,000.

From wikipedia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surviving_U.S._veterans_of_World_War_II

Quote

There were 16,112,566 members of the United States Armed Forces during World War II. There were 291,557 battle deaths, 113,842 other deaths in service (non-theater), and 670,846 non-mortal woundings. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, around 620,000 American veterans from the war are estimated to still be alive as of 2016.[

Now a moment of silence.

WWI was 'The Great War', not WWII...

Lest we forget, oh wait its November 12 and you forgot.

Take down the memorials to our fallen soldiers. Yes its literally done that way. Its setup a week or two beforehand and taken down Nov 12. Transit can now delete the "Lest We Forget" intermittant messages on the buses and trains.

Take your poppy off and throw it in the garbage. And in another ~335 days you can pose again.

LMG - Why did you not wear poppies, atleast for your WAN show. I was hoping for the best because I understood your regular flow of channel video's are "timeless"..... but I had a feeling you wouldnt step up. I would like to know why you didnt wear poppies atleast for the WAN show.

Sensationalizing war is not something I am capable of anymore.

Want a cookie?  Chocolate chip perhaps?

Let me explain a bit because I have been aggressive to you.  I apologize.

There is a problem in this society that allows us to believe doing harm to one another is the norm.  My kind will never accept this fallacy.

As you try here to appeal to a sense of pride in one country's fallen, I can have none.  A war is a war.  It can be fought in on many fronts, in many ways.  Generation after generation we are taught to accept it.  We are supposed to develop unproductive, and deceptive, emotions regarding it.  War does not feel good, and the memory of war should not feel good either.

I have a hard time swallowing your thread here.  Your attitude toward the president elect is not one of concern.  You have been mocking the opposition.  If you understood how and why wars are started and fought, you might be more compassionate to those living south of our border that see a threat to their lives in the looming idiot Trump.  It is not some game.

You may think I have forgotten.  Alas, I know you never knew.

*now excuse me while I go pwn some 10 year olds in LOL.

I was hoping you and others would leave my previous post of respect to our fallen soldiers of all wars, by me posting pictures of Poppies and a few respectful statements. But I had a feeling you would come back with something. No need to apologize.
