Computer does not display when standing up. weird????

you can skip down if you just want to know my problem i am just telling you what i did

Ok so about three days ago i wanted to play some Overwatch and boot up the game and all i see and a black screen which i cant ctrl+alt+del out off. so i have to turn off my cp from the wall and plug it back it to reset it. i go to turn it on and all i see on my monitor is no signal. Fans are still going and everything but no screen, so i sleep it off. a few hours later i go to turn my pc back on and it works. again i go to boot up overwatch and a black blue screen is all i see with the overwatch music looping over and over. again disconnected power. I think its my graphics card so i open up my computer which i have it laying on its side, and i put in a different card it and it works. i switch it back to my normal card and works also. I could play RE6, CSGO, and Overwatch just find for about an hour. So i tell my self that my computer is ok and put everything back how it was. I stand it back up and it doesnt work. lay it down it works. So what i try to do is have my computer turn on and while its on i stand it up. while im doing that half way up the blue screen appears. I lay it back down and turn it on. I then try to put some pressure not much on my Gpu, ram, cpu fan, some power cords and the div cord but no good.

My problem is my computer only Display when it is on its side and not standing up. its boots just no display. any ideas?

Have you tried using a different cable and a different port for the display?

if the cables are ok, that sounds like some part of your PC only gets connected the right way, when its lying on its side and gets disconnected when standing up. my guess would be a micro fraction on the board.

its a pain in the a** but do you have a spare board that you can use / borrow?

He means a small crack of some sort.

The weight of the card could have bent the pci connector which bent the board which has cracked either it or a trace on the board.

It's not a race to the bottom.

i see no cracks anywhere on the board or card it self. but i do believe the weight has something to do with it.

i have removed my card from  the motherboard for about 10 times now. I cant try another pci slot because my card is too long and some of the components on the MB blocks its way. I did put two different cards in to test. They all works Great. I reinstalled my card after i was finish and did the standing up test again and it also works. I was 100% it was the Graphics Card but now not to sure.

Could it be the power Cords. I have to use two 6 pin to 8 pin connectors

any other ideas or is my computer just bipolar

Ok I just turned off my computer to go to bed and decided to turn it back on. nothing was displayed on my  monitor. I got a razer mouse and keyboard chroma. I noticed that even they turn on and off when I start the computer standing up. but come on right away when computer is laying down

the keyboard lights up when laying down and not standing up when turned off? then it's either the board or the PSU. when USB gets powered when the PC is off and laying down but not standing up that means, that a) USB is still getting powered when turned off (Bios setting) and b) sth. is very likely wrong with the board (after all the USB power runs through the board OR your PSU.

My bet is on the board.

I will try to test it out with a new board. (another note) that I did was I took the 6 pin to 8 pin out and just use the 6+2 pin for the graphics card and it works. but just for a few minutes. right now I turn my computer back up while it was standing it up and did a system restore and the screen never went off. it now only turn off when standing up and when the windows is loaded.

I'm sure the MB is fine but I will still change it out. but my bet is on the PSU/GPU. I ran some heavy test on my cpu with no problems. but when I ran a heavy test on my gpu it froze my computer. and now it looks like I can't play any simple game now.  I feel like the PSU (which is a cooler Master silent prom 1000w with a 80+ bronze.) is bad and not given enough power to the gpu and is dying or the gpu is dying. when I play gta 5 my cpu usage was at 100% while one of my gpu was around 30% and the other at 0%
