Hey everyone, I could use some help with part choice.

Firstly, I live in Singapore so I will primarily be using Amazon due to free AmazonGlobe shipping on light items (Yey)I might also use newegg Singapore but craptacular prices due to ridiculous exchange rate probably will deter me from buying anything there.

^^X61 is a temporary placeholder for X62

I have also purchased the Enthoo Evolv in Singapore to avoid paying the ridiculous 200 USD required for import fees.

Would it be worth it waiting for the end of November for Black Friday/Thanksgiving sales?

EVGA GTX 1080 SC/FTW viable?

What resolution would you game at? 6600k with a 1080 will bottleneck unless you play on 4K. I would get 6700k instead or drop to a 1070

I want to game at 4k/1440p if possible, futureproof the build if possible too

Although I agree with you that he should get a 6700k, a 6600k won't bottleneck, will the 6700k provide more performance, sure, but the 6600k bottlenecking, unless you're playing a crap ton of Cities Skylines or Gta V I can't think of a situation where that cpu would actually bottleneck.

If I get an EVGA 1080 will heat be an issue? I see that even with Thermal pads some gtx 1080s are still hitting 80'C and that is in a room WAY cooler than the tropical 25-36'C room temp of Singapore

it'll be fine. i'd recommend getting a palit (cheapest) or zotac(5 years warranty) gtx 1080 locally and see if you can find a $100 promo code on lazada/Qoo10 instead, warranty is much easier with local distros.

4 games, thousands to choose from. Op, the 6600k won't bottleneck the 1080 to a noticeable extent, just go with it if you are under a budget, but I still recommend the 6700k.

If Black Friday promotions/sales are quite good I might be able to squeeze in the 6700k,only question is by how much.

As for the Gtx 1080s, I really don't know, even at highest, 1 USD= 1.5SGD, even 650X1.5=975 SGD
