Right, I want to go from Matx to maybe ATX. So whats got all the features without being $500, maybe more like $200. Socket LGA 1151. If there's any Matx mobo's that you cant resist let me know, i might stick with this form factor if i find something really good, i have an Asrock H170m Pro4 at the moment and a locked processor I'm also going to upgrade to an unlocked variant.

The fact that there will be more flexibility of upgrades, and yeah i'd need a new case but i was just going to go with my current corsairs case's ATX counterpart.

It doesn't reeeeeally make it more flexible for upgrading. Both can take SLI, but chances are you won't (and shouldn't) be doing that anyway. I can't think of anything else it helps with, unless you for some reason need multiple PCIe cards.

I'd just keep the form factor you have now and put the money you would have spent on a new case into something else.

Well, what would you suggest as a new Mobo then? The H170 Chipset makes me sad inside.

I like Asus the most, both in terms of quality and BIOS. However they don't have the greatest colors.

Gigabyte is ok too, and I currently have an MSI motherboard. I like the BIOS Gigabyte has more.

Honestly though, it comes down to looks. They all perform about the same.

That, and the features you want/need. Audio, number of USB ports, SATA ports, etc.
