Hello everyone, I would like some help deciding what to upgrade in my current pc build to maximize performance on video games.

My specs:

Processor: AMD A10-7870K Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G  3.90 GHz

Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 Gigabytes (6.96 Usable)

System Type: 64-Bit Operating System, x64 Based Processor

Here are a few graphics cards I am considering purchasing:

1. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JS2UFO6/?tag=xtremegaminer-20

2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487291&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Video+Card+-+Nvidia-_-N82E16814487291&gclid=CJfOu9K3itACFQIEaQodGvQIcA&gclsrc=aw.ds

Now, I am currently running integrated graphics, and that's obviously not ideal for a gaming PC. I want to know how much much those cards will bottleneck, and I'm pretty sure the first one will a bit. I also need help deciding what processor I should upgrade to eventually. As of now, I think the better choice for graphics cards is the second link I previously put down. I'm just wondering what you all think. Should I get more ram? Something that I want to run at 60 FPS (At least medium settings) is The Witcher 3.

So tell me what you think, what I should upgrade, and when I should do it. Thanks.

The 470 is the better option from the 2, but what reso you play on? Guess 1080p. If yes, I would consider a 1060 6GB or a 480 8GB since those are excellent cards that can hold their own on that reso for the coming time. I think your CPU will not cause huge troubles, even though it's not the best. But you can always OC a bit.

Go GPU now. And start saving up for new platform in future.

If you want to go for new platform be able to spend on a good CPU, prefered OCable. Picking a godo one will last several years. Don't upgrade this platform, not worth it imo.

Yeah, 1080p. Could you maybe link me to a card you would recommend? My budget is between 100-200 dollars at the moment.

I live in a euro country, so can't really help with that. But overall MSI, Asus and EVGA have good coolers. For AMD Saphire are overall also good coolers I think.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I'm just unsure on what graphics card to buy. I definitely want to run Overwatch and Witcher 3.

Choices man, to quote a line form a well known movie: I know what you're thinking, 'cause right now I'm thinking the same thing. Actually, I've been thinking it ever since I got here: Why oh why didn't I take the BLUE pill? :)

It will be a fine card for your goal. Don't you want the 6GB variant? Allthough the 3GB is good enough for what you want it to do the small price premium is worth the performance gain. Is pretty significant, especially if you go with the dual cooled one. A lot of the performance come from the GPU boost on the 10 series. A dual fan cools significant better then the mini variants if size is no issue in your case.

Wish we had those prices here...

I would reccomend spending the extra $100 and going for the GTX1060
