Nostalrius Returns!

Title pretty much says it all. 

Long story short they are releasing their source code to another group to run it under a different name, Elysium 

Nostalrius, exactly as you know it, will be returning

TBH I'm quite happy at Kronos.  Might check out the new Elysium tho.

I just wish it was an "Official" return . As in hosted or at least sanctioned by blizzard for stability reasons.

Well upon further research it looks like the people they are giving it to are based in Russia, so perhaps out of blizzards legal reach. 

I'm sure Luke will be pleased

A fresh "New Start" server is being rolled out aswell as the saved servers from Nostalrius before it was shut down.

I'm way too hyped for this. Definitely rolling on the frehs PVP realm. Still looking for some people to make a guild with because I kinda missed out on the "community" aspect last year on Nostalrius which was my own fault.

I'm down for joining a guild too, I reached 55 solo on my Dwarf Priest before the shut down. I would play him but I feel like rolling a pally or a mage this time.

I know I'll be down for rolling fresh. I am sure all the publicity will get many more who didn't know about private servers. Not sure yet but probably go Priest my self

Well if the guild does happen, what faction? I'm not bothered either way. Retail I was horde and my priest on Nost was Alliance so it doesn't bother me really.

I've never leveled to 60 as alliance so personally I'd give that a try but it's whatever if someone prefers horde. I'm also more comfortable with horde because I'm more familiar with the leveling.

I've never done horde. Beyond like level 20 or so. I'll probably do that my self.

In the Strawpolls i've seen most are starting afresh on the new server.

Well I was only at level 24 anyways so I starting over isn't much work.

It is yep, no need though really. If its just for chatting I have one here that's empty. Im not sure if it requires special permissions to talk though.

It's just guilds I've been in before have certain ranks in the voice server ie admin,mods etc but in the Discord I have here I can't enable any of that.

Well the first step is making a guild. If we get that far, we could talk about these things but I don't think they would serve a purpose for now, ranks that is.
