Google Pixel?

http://www.phonearena.com/phones/compare/Google-Pixel,Motorola-Moto-Z-Droid-Edition,Samsung-Galaxy-S7/phones/10264,10111,9817

Specs are there. S7 probably has the best hardware (it says Exynos, American models are the SD820) regardless of the Pixel's SD821. Probably has the best Camera.

I'd get the Pixel out of those for these reasons:

BEST Android Experience out there

Quickest Updates out there

Easy rootless Google Assistant Support

OnePlus 3/Zte Axons are really nice options too.

I can easily recommend the OnePlus 3.

My System:

Well I am looking at these 3 because they are 430 dollars off at black friday so I can actually afford a flagship :b I was leaning towards pixel but it doesnt have waterproofing and also only 1080p which I didnt know if I would notice because mine is 1440p. I was also considering the moto because of the motomods.

I don't really understand your choice of phones. I'll recommend some other phones if you're interested after the pros/cons (some will be subjective).

The Pixel has a small battery, it's ugly, and it's expensive. But, it will get regular updates from Google and it has the latest, best Snapdragon SoC, the 821.

The S7 has a larger battery and it's less ugly, but it has support from Samsung for a while, which will come out at a slower pace. It has the next best Snapdragon processor, because it's older, the 820.

The Moto Z doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack, has an even smaller battery than the Pixel, and is even a bit uglier than the Pixel. It has an option for Moto Mods, which are pretty cool.

All of these phones have great cameras, but the Pixel's is the best according to many.

My recommendations, organized by favorite

Huawei Mate 9 (upcoming)

Mi 5s Plus

Mi Note 2

Moto Z Force (much larger battery than the regular version, still ugly)

I have a 5.5" 1080p screen. I'd NEVER know if you didn't tell me, nor care. 1440p is basically a lousy market term.

Waterproofing is a problem, but I don't its that big of a deal. I can bet that someone will make a waterproof case for the pixel anytime now. Unless you like to swim or live next to a beech, I doubt water proofing will matter at all for you. Even in VR 1080p isn't that bad. (heck Google themselves making the DayDreamVr. Doesn't sound like its bothering them.

I wouldn't choose between those phones, personally. If I had to pick any phone to buy, it would be the Mi 5s Plus. It's better in many ways, and it's less expensive than any of the phones you listed. But, if you're absolutely set on making a decision between those 3, I'd pick the S7.

Google Pixel:

  • Mother Google direct support, from your phone on a weekly basis, alongside friendly forums and stable system overhaul.
  • This is a device from Google, so what your getting is the latest security patches, beta programs and android versions as soon as they are released, with a stock experience guaranteed, allowing your customisation to be more seamless and simplified (depends on the user preferences).
  • It actually has a great camera, without the problem of the lens flare of course, which they said they would be fixing with a software update, altough it is a hardware flaw, altough we should wait and see about that. Great camera, great video, mono audio recording only tough.
  • The build quality, overhaul system performance, display quality, packaging and acessories quality is otherwise top notch, featuring rich connectivity, charging and suite of applications, artificial intelligence and unlimited cloud storage for pictures from the Pixel/Pixel XL, without compression. Also it comes in either 32 or 128GB variants, depending on the user.

As far as cons go, youd be very hard pressed to find any, honestly. It only lacks some camera features here and there, audio quality isnt exactly its strong suit, it doesnt offer any water or dust resistance for long periods of time and it honestly had enough space for front facing speakers, but oh well. Excellent in everything else.

Galaxy S7:

  • The display is freaking amazing, especially the Edge variant. Both are very bright, accurate and punchy in the right way, offering what is possibly the best AMOLED experience of the present.
  • The software is a very like it or hate it one, which to be honest and fair, is considerably slower than the Pixel and you dont get the royaltes and assurances of guaranteed software updates for two years, not the system fluidity or stability in most scenarios.
  • It has water resistance, great build quality, offers some nice acessories in the box, has decent audio quality (great from the headphone jack), offers very solid battery life, tons and tons of features, great turn on and go phone, for most that is.

As far as cons go, the fingerprint sensor isnt glass or ceramic, so if it gets too scratched up you may lose the fingerprint system, the entry port isnt USB-C as in the pixel for example and you dont get the Quick Charge 3.0 standard speeds, altough the S7/S7 Edge charge pretty quick, wired or wirelessly. It has little disadvantages, mainly those being the software, the small details and software update cycles.

Moto Z Droid:

  • Super slim, great build quality, moto mods are great (if your into those things) and it is an overhaul very sturdy phone, that lacks an headphone jack and comes with USB-C connectivity.
  • Its software is pretty clean and given how Motorola works, theyr software updates shouldnt be too bad, even in the hands of Lenovo (unless they changed a lot lol), translating into a fluid and clean user experience out of the box.
  • It does have a great display aswell, alongside rich connectivity and performance features, not to mention a free nice looking case on the box, alongside a decent fingerprint sensor, also it is quite light to use.

As far as cons go, its camera is definetly not the best someone could sneeze and other than that, it is honestly a really solid smartphone choice, but its not the most powerful, updated, doesnto offer the longest lasting battery and is definetly not the most secure phone of the bunch.

I say Pixel :P

Out of those three choices, I think it comes down to a few things.

  • Do you want lightening fast updates? Go with the Pixel.
  • Do you need expandable storage? Go with the Samsung.
  • Do you need longer battery life? Go with the Samsung.

I think the S7 is the superior device. The only downsides are that it lacks the really fast updates, and doesn't have USB type C.

I wouldn't get the Moto, it's a first gen device. It has a tiny battery, so you'd have to spend extra money getting the battery pack for the back, and it seems like you're on a bit of a budget.

When comparing phones it's sort of pointless to mention "it's ugly". Looks are very subjetive, and someone might find it attractive where as you don't.

I don't think the Mi 5 supports all the LTE bans NA needs.

1440p isn't a marketing term, it's a physical increase in pixel density.

You might not notice it, others do. For example my Note5 screen compared to an iPhone 6 Plus. The words are juts a tiny bit crisper.

Waterproofing is useful, as it protects against rain ingress. Also, people dropping their phones in some form of liquid is a huge cause of device failure. ;)

It's not really that cheap. Falls right in line with these other phones, gets worse battery life, no expandable storage, etc etc.

The Note4 is ok but it won't get anything past Marshmallow, gets the older TouchWiz, has the annoying swipe fingerprint sensor, etc. Though it does have great battery life.

Not entirely. They consistently nail the best battery life of pretty much any phone out there.

Their build quality is excellent.

They have superb screens, I'd argue best in the market.

I meant the note 4 is super cheap (if you get refurb its about $250). Wording was a bit weird I guess. If I had a Note 4, i'd root and install the latest Cyanogen.

Haha yeah. Honestly though it's $5, that's not a lot of money for something that will likely go on every device that you'll have from that point on. I pay more for my morning tea.

I think the price is more than reasonable.
