I currently am looking into making my own gaming pc (first time buyer) and i was wondering how much ssd space do i really need, my options include either a 240gb ssd or a 120gb ssd w/ 2tb hdd. Going with the 240gb ssd will save me $20 as it is $60 and my other option is $80. What should i go with? Just so you know i will be playing first-person shooter games like Overwatch, CS:GO, COD, Crysis 3, and Gears of War. I do not plan to use any storage for anything else but games and my OS.

Depends on what you store. I have 120gb on my laptop and a 256gb on my desktop that are both half full. Then again i keep all my documents and pictures on my server.

Why not check for the Crucial MX300 275GB SSD? It's damn affordable.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to fit all of those on there. Keep in mind that you don't actually get 240gb, I think usable space is something like 226gb? Then Windows, and you should keep about 20% of the drive free for good drive health.

I had a 240gb drive in my last PC and I was on track to add a 512gb SSD for game storage. I was constantly having to delete games, wasn't able to download files because I was out of room, etc.

I'd either go for a 512gb drive if you can afford it, or a 240gb plus a 1tb HDD.

Don't get a 120gb SSD. They're slower than their 240gb siblings.
